Thunderbolt is a universal connection via USB-C that lets you link a laptop to external displays, fast storage, docks and other peripherals. Because data, video and power all run through the same port, your workspace stays tidy and you can connect an entire desk setup with a single cable. On this page you'll see the laptops in our range that can be configured with Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 5.
Who is a laptop with Thunderbolt suitable for?
The right choice depends on how you use your laptop. If you mainly work at a fixed desk, at the office or at home, Thunderbolt is especially handy for connecting your monitor, keyboard, mouse, network and power through a single cable. For video editing, photography, 3D work or other professional workflows, the higher bandwidth of the newer Thunderbolt versions is worthwhile, as it lets you work faster with external SSDs and multiple high-resolution displays.
What should you look out for?
Don't just focus on the Thunderbolt version, but also on the processor, graphics card, memory and screen size that suit your work. A more compact laptop is convenient if you're often on the move, while a larger model offers more room for powerful components. Every system is built to order, so you can tailor the configuration to your budget and usage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Thunderbolt 5 offers up to 120 Gbps bandwidth, compared to 40 Gbps with Thunderbolt 4. That's three times faster. Additionally, Thunderbolt 5 supports higher display resolutions (multiple 4K or 8K), faster external storage and improved charging up to 240W. Thunderbolt 5 uses PAM-3 signalling technology to achieve these higher speeds through the same USB-C connector.
